Marva Whitney, an amazing soul singer. In my opinion has a mixture of Aretha, Sharon Jones, and some Shirley Bassey. I thought I would share this with all of you finally! This recording is from the Apollo (same place where James Brown left goosebumps all over). This recording contains the deepest, eccentric, and funkiest soul! After listening to this, shows you the stone cold soul that James Brown influenced to all artists he worked with. My favorite track on this, is the beautiful duet w/ James Brown for Sunny. Breath-taking soul.
